33. Philip Chilvers: Firstly, in my opinion Queensryche are not Queensryche without Geoff Tate. Geoff Tate can't sing like he did in the 80s. I could sing along to the whole "Operation: Mindcrime" album note for note when it came out, I can't now, I'm 48 years old and my vocal range has changed. Just like Todd La Torre's vocal range will change as he gets older, fact! Secondly I have suffered from agoraphobia, depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder during my lifetime. The latter resulting in uncontrolled hypertension and causing a brain haemorrhage which very nearly killed me and left me partially paralysed and an epileptic with partial sight deficiency. I have also known other people who have suffered mental illnesses in their lives and I think that unless mental illness is being used in a discussion like this because it is absolutely necessary it is a bad taste insult to those who do suffer from mental illnesses. Consider this. Queensryche are a band who play music. What is the population of the world? How many people in the world buy Queensryche's albums? How many people in the world suffer from mental illness? Get a little perspective! Music is subjective, everyone has differing opinions and the right to express them. It's a free world! Agree with what I have written or not, I don't care, I have stated my case! It's just a shame that you're not adult enough to accept other people's differing opinions!

35. ken taylor: At first I couldn't figure out why they kicked out Tate but I believe it started during Empire when Tate went into a more mellow direction and the rest of the band didn't want that. I see it now that I take a step back. I listened to Operation Mindcrime the band and notice it was everything Empire and after till Tate was booted. Not that OMC is bad but can see why Queensryche wanted to go in a harder direction. Both great singers but like the Todd direction better.

And of course, as I predicted, it sounds absolutely NOTHING like this. Bulletproof is a true power ballad. Europe has a specific style I admire and to be honest I don't think Carrie fits as either style or ballad. But the point stands, Bulletproof sounds NOTHING like Carrie, definitely not a rehash. I mean, really, there's no fucking reason to continue trolling the true Queensrÿche while they're writing good music and regaining all the success they lost after the 90s.
